For just a few weeks each year, jacaranda trees bloom across Sydney. Purple canopies unfold above quiet streets and heritage terraces, while petals gather along stone steps and green lawns, casting a dreamlike softness over the familiar city.
Jacaranda is not a literal interpretation of the flower itself, but our olfactory impression of that moment: the feeling of walking through a city suspended in purple air.
